با توجه به شرایط غیر قابل پیش بینی اورژانس ها و نیز لزوم تعیین تکلیف هرچه سریعتر بیماران در بخش اورژانس ، در بسیاری از کشور های دنیا ، متخصصین طب اورژانس با فلوشیپ اولتراسوند در اورژانس ها حضور داشته و در کنار متخصص کشیک ، سونوگرافی های اورژانس را انجام می دهند . لزوم راه اندازی این فلوشیپ در کشور ایران با توجه به شرایط اورژانس ها امری غیر قابل انکار بوده و از هیات محترم بورد و نیز انجمن علمی و صنفی طب اورژانس ایران این انتظار می رود تا به زودی این فلوشیپ به لیست فلوشیپ های قابل پذیرش در ایران تبدیل شود
